About Us

We are the Education Department of the Putnam Museum.  Located in Davenport, Iowa, the Putnam houses more the 170,000 artifacts and specimens from the Mississippi Valley region and around the world. In addition, the museum is home to one of the largest (50′x70′) giant screen theatres showing a variety documentaries and Hollywood films.  The education department provides resources, presentations and activities in the areas of history, culture, natural science and STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).  We hope you enjoy our site!
